This month, we have decided to try something new. HackPittsburgh is starting to have some talks on Thursday nights! We intend to start the talks normally 7PM. Try and stop by! Also, be sure to keep an eye on our webpage for more details on our upcoming events!!!

Upcoming Talks

  • Thursday July 11th: Can haz Raspberry Pi, now what?
    • Own a Raspberry Pi? Unsure how to program it? Know a little programming but want to know more? Want to know what you can do with this amazing device? If you answered yes to any of these questions this talk is for you. This talk is geared for all levels of Raspberry Pi Owners (and non owners).
  • Thursday July 18th: Soldering 101
    • Want to know how soldering works? Want to know the best ways to solder? Come join us for an event all about soldering!
  • Friday July 26th: NO PUBLIC EVENT - MakerFaire Detroit!
    • The shop will be closed this evening, Some members will be at MakerFaire Detroit talking and showing off our builds. We will be taking our Power Wheels racer and racing against other hacker spaces. We would love some Pittsburgh support if you can make it!

These events are free and open to the public; Shop opens at 7pm

These are outside groups that meet at the shop, but are mostly open to the public. They typically start at 7pm.

    • Continuing with our Arduino control classes, our new council member Anthony will be teaching advanced motor control using Arduino!

  • Aug 18th - Pittsburgh Mini-MakerFaire!!
    • That time has come around again, Pittsburgh Mini-MakerFaire!!! If Detroit is too far away, stop by the Childrens Museum on the North Side to see a glimpse of what you missed. It’s sure to be an exciting and fun time!
