This was our official launch for the Hackerspaces in Space competition.

KCI 1000 from Kaymont.
Enclosure
Scavenged Styrofoam cooler.
Parachute
3.6' orange ripstop nylon round parachute with eight 7' lines to the payload.
Tracking
A home built controller based on the Micro-Trak 300 from Byonics.
Imaging
A damaged but mostly funtional Canon PowerShot SD300 using the CHDK firmware.
Electronics
None other than the camera and tracker.
