Talk:Reminders

Could we consolidate the tool reminders pages with the tool pages? I think having 2 pages for each tool will make it harder to remember the reminders. It also looks like there's a bit of duplication for some of the tools. Angineer (talk) 18:39, 24 October 2019 (PDT)

I wrote all of the tool reminder pages. Cross-linking them is something that should be done and I've been doing it gradually, as I get time, but they should not be merged. The reminder pages are in general much more step-by-step and checklist oriented. The tool pages are full of more varied information, details and resources.

Also, I started writing these reminders when I was a new member and I didn't feel confident about just blithely reorganizing other people's writings about tools I'd barely just been trained on.

As I've written on most of the pages, they're called reminders because they're for helping me (and others) remember the steps and safety checklists, etc, not as a substitute for training. Sowens (talk) 14:03, 25 October 2019 (PDT)
