Calling it "a single-page equivalent of the rest of the wiki" is a bit of an overstatement. | |||

Regardless, I'm open to suggestions for ways to lean it down, in particular suggestions for links to more in-depth pages, and suggestions for content that can be moved or replaced by reference to those more in-depth pages. Garbage night, for example, is a good candidate. |

The garbage night instructions are also found here: Shop_Operations#Garbage_Night. I'm going to merge them at some point. Angineer (talk) 18:55, 24 October 2019 (PDT)
To extend my previous comment, I think this page is getting a little bloated, to the point of almost being a single-page equivalent of the rest of the wiki. If a single page format is best for us, that's fine, but having the same info in multiple places can hurt us for a few reasons:
- Things can get out of date more easily, as someone may update information in one spot but miss another spot
- The flip-side of the prior point: having 2 places to update is twice as much maintenance
- Multiple locations for information makes it harder to find; it also makes it more likely that people will be reading info that's out of date
Here are some examples that I think we could consolidate:
- Recycling info
- New_Member_Orientation#Garbage_Night
- Shop_Operations#Garbage_Night
- Garbage/Recycling Disposal section on Rules_and_Regulations
- The link summary and the wiki home page
- Board contact info
What do other folks think?
