Member Meeting Minutes for September 21, 2021

Becky Zajdel called the meeting to order at 7:40 PM

None today!

As long as members are vaccinated, masks are optional. Those who aren't vaccinated are required to mask up!
We still ask that everyone clean up after themselves and wash their hands often.
The Board has been scrambling to fill tour dates. Please consider volunteering to be a tour guide.

Our monthly shop clean is this Sunday, September 26th at noon. Members are required to participate if possible!
We have a lot of classes and activities coming up!

  - Two MIG welding classes (with Kiefer Mansfield)
  - One Stick welding class (With Kiefer mansfield)
  - Three Halloween/Autumn crafting sessions, two in the afternoon and another more adult themed session at night! (with Becky)
  - Halloween Party - this is both BYOB and Potluck. We'll be having a costume contest and raffle!
- Not scheduled, but planned
  - Computer building (with Adam Longwill)
  - Resin jewelry-making (with Kristen from Herb n' Ink)
  - Ham Radio (with Jim Keener)
  - Arduino (with Jim Keener)
  - Keyboard-making (with Rob Bedel)
  - Holiday LED tree-making (with Geno Soroka - late November)
We hate to keep playing Mom and Dad, but CLEAN. UP. AFTER. YOURSELF. We keep finding messy electronics stations, coffee bars, half-drunk beverages, and dirty bathrooms. We have no maids and the Board is not your cleaning crew.
- For safety sake, EMPTY/CLEAN. OUT. THE. AIR. FILTER. Every time you are done vacuuming or using a tool like the SawStop on the dirty side, check and/or clean out the air filter.

We have $5,375.86 and $213.76 for a total of $5,589.62. We have not done a recent cash count, however.

We plan on doing some shopping, so please let us know if there are any snack requests.
The plan to raise prices by $5 is in effect, although we will be pushing it to November 2, 2021. The regular monthly cost will now be $55 per month and the discounted cost will now be $35 per month. This is a minor rise in prices and still MUCH less than nearly every other maker space. With the flu and COVID-delta on the rise, we want to give us some financial buffer room since we have not been able to save much extra money in the past year.
Board Member Quara'e has found a discounted CAD program and we plan on installing it on either Alpha, Beta, or both computers.
