Shop Updates
- Outreach
- Tustin Tot Lot
Meta Mesh, HackPGH, and DECO Resources will be building out the Tustin Tot Lot with Public WiFi, Art, and a solar Charging station. We have obtained the contract for the 25k$ that will be released in chunks.
- Treasury Report: Everything is looking good.
- Shop Improvements
- Shop area it looking good. We still need to work on it. Shop area is looking good. However, more work to do.
Dust Collection, Shelf moving, organization and purging things. There is a whiteboard on which small tasks are presented.
- Tool Training from other then board.
Steve suggested we not only have usage training but also maintenance training. Simon suggested that we have this education on shop clean days.
- We need people other then the board to train.
A bunch of conversation was started because there was a universal desire to have better documentation on how to properly use and maintain the tools and the shop in a major, visible way. A suggestion was made that we form a committee to do this.
- CNC
- We need to do a hackathon or something to complete it. It is starting to take up space.
- 3D Printers
3d printers are broken. The CNC is also broken. The 3d Printers need Octoprint installed on their pi's. The CNC needs to have a bracket printed as it broke. CW Volunteered his Thingomatic to print a bracket in conjunction with Sean.
- We need to reinstall the software on the Orange Pi's.
- Power Racing
No real updates. Next meeting will likely be on Friday at 6pm
- Updates?
CW presented a dust collection system for the shop. He suggests we need a HEPA filter that bolts on top of the blower.
Project Updates
Rob announced a Kickoff meeting for the Millvale air quality monitoring bench due aug 15th. Rob is looking for subject matter experts.
Steve suggested that we begin labeling boxes by color. He was discouraged from proposing an amendment by way of the "Do-ocracy" cultural model.

Gabe was recognized for putting up the lights.
Becky was recognized for getting the the Post Gazette article organized.
Geno was recognized for organizing the Tesla birthday party.
