HackPGH Door And Sensor Module

From HackPittsburgh Wiki

This project is an Internet of Things aka IOT device which senses the state of the HackPGH gate Watson St and Lights Jumonville St and also senses the Temperature, Humidity, and Air Quality of the Wood Shop/Machine Shop side (Watson) and Clean Shop Side (Jumonville).

This information is then displayed on the top bar of https://www.hackpgh.org so that members can easily determine if there is someone in the shop which is useful if they need to use a tool which requires at least two people to be in the shop.

The Temperature and Humidity and Air Quality data is just useful to know for safety reasons and for general analysis of the state of the shop.

Originally this project used the module from iobridge.com. Then in around 2018 IOT devices became very simple to design thanks to the ESP8266 module and we realized that we could expand on the functionality of this project to measure other data in the shop and to have more control over the data read.

More details will be added soon
